Book Review--9/26/2011

Reverberation: How Godís Word Brings Light, Freedom, and Action to His People, Jonathan Leeman, 2011, Moody Publishers, Chicago, ISBN 9780802422996, 197 pages, $12.99, softcover.

Usually in this space, I write reviews on some of the many praiseworthy books from Christian publishers that we at Disciple feel would be most helpful to our primary audience of pastors and other teachers of God's Word.

Sometimes (more often than I like to admit), a truly good book slips by without our giving it a hearing. One recent such work is Reverberation by Jonathan Leeman, a succint but masterful look at how God's Word is (and indeed, has to be) at the center of the Church's life and mission.

I encountered this book in recent weeks, but it was published much earlier in the year. As is often the case with new releases I miss, others have done a very capable job of reviewing and recommending them.
